RIDGEFIELD
PARK -- We're halfway through the basketball season, and Ridgefield
Park (7-5) has already come up with its biggest win. The Scarlets
upset BCSL-American Division rival Cliffside Park (8-4) with a
61-58 victory on Tuesday night. The win puts Ridgefield Park in
the mix in the mix for a league and keeps their Bergen County
Jamboree hopes alive.
Scarlets forward Nelson mendez led all scorers with 21 points.
But it was his huge block on Cliffside Park point guard Greg Faria
with 24 seconds left that put the game away.
